JESUS as PASSOVER

Exodus 12:5

King James Version

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish,

a male of the first year:

ye shall take it out from the sheep,

or from the goats:

This is probably one of the most powerful articles we've written.

Only because it had to take this 91st blog to tie it all up together.

There was so much information, but I needed clarity.

Resting for the night, I let SPIRIT take over my findings.

In the morning, the LORD did, and all became clear.

Now, through SPIRIT, I knew how to weave the article.

Such as the direct relation of JESUS to Passover.

And all the supporting verses relating to that.

What makes JESUS the Passover?

SPIRIT directed me to this verse:

1 Corinthians 5:7

King James Version

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven,

that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.

For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

So, when you say Passover, it's the commemorative event.

And it's also the sacrifice offering, which was JESUS.

For an offering to be acceptable to GOD, that lamb had to be perfect.

1 Peter 1:18-19

King James Version

18 Forasmuch as ye know

that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,

as silver and gold, from your vain conversation

received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ,

as of a lamb without blemish

and without spot:

No wonder the "Son of God" was called the "Lamb of God".

John 1:34-36

King James Version

34 And I saw,

and bare record that this is the Son of God.

35 Again the next day after John stood,

and two of his disciples;

36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked,

he saith,

Behold the Lamb of God!

JESUS was that "Lamb of God", sent to save us from our sins.

John 1:29

King James Version

29 The next day

John seeth Jesus coming unto him,

and saith,

Behold the Lamb of God,

which taketh away the sin of the world.

JESUS was that meek sacrifice offering for man's sins.

Isaiah 53:5-7

King James Version

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions,

he was bruised for our iniquities:

the chastisement of our peace was upon him;

and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;

we have turned every one to his own way;

and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,

yet he opened not his mouth:

he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,

and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,

so he openeth not his mouth.

Despite the forthcoming suffering, JESUS did one thing.

He followed GOD's will.

Without complaint.

Luke 22:42

King James Version

42 Saying,

Father, if thou be willing,

remove this cup from me:

nevertheless not my will,

but thine, be done.

Throughout His ministry, JESUS called us to obedience.

That we may know, and obey the will of the Father.

As we should, for GOD loved us so.

John 3:16-17

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.

John 3:17

King James Version

17 For God sent not his Son into the world

to condemn the world;

but that the world through him

might be saved.

In the last days, this will surely happen.

JESUS will finally be given the honor He alone deserves.

Revelation 5:11-12

King James Version

11 And I beheld,

and I heard the voice of many angels

round about the throne and the beasts and the elders:

and the number of them was

ten thousand times ten thousand,

and thousands of thousands;

12 Saying with a loud voice,

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain

to receive power, and riches, and wisdom,

and strength, and honour, and glory,

and blessing.

Likewise, we shall know if we will be in the Lamb's "book".

Revelation 21:27

King James Version

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it

any thing that defileth,

neither whatsoever worketh abomination,

or maketh a lie:

but they which are written

in the Lamb's book of life.

We also see how GOD and the Lamb are inextricably tied together.

Revelation 22:1-3

King James Version

22 And he shewed me

a pure river of water of life,

clear as crystal,

proceeding out of the throne of God

and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it,

and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life,

which bare twelve manner of fruits,

and yielded her fruit every month:

and the leaves of the tree

were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse:

but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it;

and his servants shall serve him:

May we be worthy of the LORD.

May we be worthy of JESUS.

You will know if you are.

JESUS confirms it:

John 10:27-28

King James Version

27 My sheep hear my voice,

and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life;

and they shall never perish,

neither shall any man pluck them

out of my hand.
