A feast FOREVER

Exodus 12:8

King James Version

8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night,

roast with fire, and unleavened bread;

and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

Israel is for Passover, and Passover is for Israel.

This feast of unleavened bread commemorates that special day.

Wherein GOD spared Israel's firstborns.

All who had lamb's blood on the side posts and lintel of their doorways were spared.

Not so with the Egyptians, including the pharoah's firstborn.

That turned the tide for Israel.

Only then did pharoah release them.

And Moses led His people out of Egypt.

GOD wants this event celebrated forever.

The Bible says so:

Exodus 12:14

King James Version

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial;

and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord

throughout your generations;

ye shall keep it a feast

by an ordinance for ever.

Exodus 12:17

King James Version

17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread;

for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies

out of the land of Egypt:

therefore shall ye observe this day

in your generations

by an ordinance for ever.

Exodus 12:24

King James Version

24 And ye shall observe this thing

for an ordinance to thee

and to thy sons for ever.

Exodus 12:42

King James Version

42 It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord

for bringing them out from the land of Egypt:

this is that night of the Lord to be observed

of all the children of Israel in their generations.

When GOD declares something, we better pay attention.

The LORD's will cannot be denied obedience.

Prophet Isaiah confirms that:

Isaiah 14:27

King James Version

27 For the Lord of hosts hath purposed,

and who shall disannul it?

and his hand is stretched out,

and who shall turn it back?
